Travel with Tia Itinerary

Enjoy 7 fabulous days in the ‘Mother City’ experiencing some of the incredible activities that Cape Town and Southern Africa have to offer whilst enjoying them with two times CrossFit Games champion Tia-Clair Toomey and her husband and coach Shane Orr who will be part of the tour party.

Day 1 – Sunday 27th January

Arrive in Cape Town and settle into your hotel before heading off to the incredibly beautiful Camps Bay to watch the sun set over the Atlantic Ocean with a cocktail in your hand. This will give you an opportunity to digest any jet lag as well to meet Tia and Shane as well as your fellow ‘Travel Fit Tourers’ and the Travel Fit Team (Jordan, Nicky and Kevin).

Day 2 – Monday 28th January

Your first full day in the Mother City. A workout at Motley Crew CrossFit will be followed by a trip to Stellenbosch to experience some of the best wine farms in the world. You will also have your first exposure to some of the wildlife Africa has to offer with a trip to a Cheetah sanctuary to get up close with these amazing animals. Your day will be concluded with Yoga on Camps Bay beach under the watchful eye of Yogi Sherry and will be concluded with dinner at one of the restaurants on the Camps Bay strip.

Day 3 – Tuesday 29th January

An early start the day will allow you to get up close and personal with one of the planets most fearsome predators. A shark cage dive will assist in raising your heart rate and will be followed by lunch in the picturesque seaside town of Kalk Bay. There will also be the option of exploring Cape Point and visiting the African Penguins Sanctuary at Boulders Beach if a Shark Cage dive is a little too much adrenalin spiking for you. The evening will be enjoyed at your leisure.
You will have the opportunity to sign up for the Train with Tia’ workshop in the afternoon (For your own cost).

Day 4 – Wednesday 30th January

Following your morning workout, breakfast will be experienced at ‘Truth’, ranked one of the top 10 coffee roasteries in the world. After returning to your hotel to freshen up, your day excursion to the Atlantis Dunes will begin where you will experience the rush of Sand Boarding through the dunes. For dinner there is a culinary taste sensation you aren’t going to want to miss, we’ll keep the details a surprise, but you’ll definitely want to arrive with an appetitive for this dinner.

Day 5 – Thursday 31st January

The day will begin with an opportunity for you to improve your rowing technique under the watchful eye of Power Monkey Coach and Olympian Rika Geyser. This will lead into Day 1 of ‘Fittest in Cape Town’ with an opportunity to watch Games athletes throw down against each other. With the proximity of FICT to the most visited tourist destination in South Africa, the V&A Waterfront will provide you with an entertaining shopping opportunity. The day will wrap up with a guided sunset hike up the iconic Table Mountain. Experience the sun set over the city before enjoying a short cable car trip down

Day 6 – Friday 1st February

Following your morning workout, Fittest in Cape Town will continue with day 2 of competition. The option of SUP'ing around the V&A Waterfront will allow you to really take in this tourist destination as well as finish up any last-minute shopping. The evening will be completed with the group departure dinner.
You will have the opportunity to sign up for the Train with Tia’ workshop in the afternoon (For your own cost).

Day 7 – Saturday 2nd February

Prior to checkout, enjoy sunrise yoga on the beach with Yogi Sherry which will prep you for your travel home. The last day of competition of FICT will determine who will walk away with one of the Games qualifying spots. Transfer to the airport and final good-byes as we say bon voyage from what will have been a ‘fitcation’ of a lifetime.
